In the heart of Alto Monferrato, Southern Piedmont, place rich in tradition, important wines and delicious food, our location is between Novi Ligure and Ovada, near Serravalle Outlet and two of the most famous golf clubs!
“La Casa del Mugnaio” (the mill house) is situated in Capriata d’Orba, a little village in Southern Piedmont, between Vallemme and Valleorba, 12 km far from Gavi, Ovada and Novi Ligure.
Country house next to a medieval mill (XV Century), in the forties it has become property of the owner’s family, today it has been completely renovated without changing the original structure. Rooms are equipped with old furniture and welcome tourist in a family atmosphere, offers relax, sport and wellness in a surprising countryside in contact with nature.
Infact the house is the ideal stopping place to know the hills of Monferrato among the natural tradictions and flavours where you can taste the typical dishes of the territory: agnolotti (filled pasta), selvaggina (wild meat), delicatessen products and local wines like “Gavi DOCG” and “Dolcetto di Ovada”.
If you want to do a wine-and-food tour, the house owner will show you the best restaurants, the great firms of wine and the famous distilleries of the place, the mill house is a departure place for people who want to discover a new territory by motorbike, bike or who like walking, do sport or fish or hunt.
1 km far from the house you can find: Capriata d’Orba Sporting Centre with tennis courts, football fields and a big outdoor equipped swimming pool, riding schools which offer horse trekking tours and Villa Carolina Golf Club, a very famous golf club.
Thanks to an agreement with Power Golf wellness-fitness center Golf Club Villa Carolina are possible discounts on massages, lessons with a personal trainer, reflexologist plantar entrance to the SPA and several relaxation packages.
The town with a beautiful historic center and the museum of cycling to visit.
With lots of churches and castles and typical products like “farinata” (a mixture of water, olive oil, chickpea flour).

Our flat, completely renovated, offers two bedrooms: a double room and a single one. The bedrooms are wide and well-lighted, both able to have an extra bed. Near the rooms, the bathroom with a shower is small but comfortable. Breakfast is served in the dining room or, if you like,on the balcony. Guests can also enjoy a small relax room and two outdoor smoking areas (balconies).
